2Rest your hands pretty lightly on the steering wheel - the auto must go in a straight line without drifting out of the lane either for the left or right.3If the vehicle drifts, check each of the tires for suitable inflation (see "How to Examine and Add Air to Vehicle Tires," under Connected eHows).4Add air to tires as required.

5Take a second test-drive, checking for drift again. In the event the vehicle still drifts, make an appointment to get a front-end verify and an alignment.6Look for uneven wear within the tire tread. When the tread is worn unevenly on one particular side (inner or outer) car diagnostic tool, you probably need an alignment. Put on straight down the middle on the tire indicates overinflation; put on down both the inside and outdoors from the tire indicates underinflation.
